CALL FOR ENTRIES CLOSES MARCH 2007
EARLYBIRD ENTRIES ONLY 1 WEEK TO GO!!

Thanks to all those of you who have been on the ball and getting your earlybird entries in - if you haven't got your act together yet you still have until 17 January 2007 to take advantage of the discounted entry fees. Go to www.homebrewed.com.au to either download an entry form or to click straight through to Withoutabox, our online festival submission partners.

Alternatively, just click on the links at the right!!

For our long time Home Brewers, you will notice that we have pulled the closing date for entries back by a few months. This is to assist with festival planning as the rapid growth of Home Brewed has meant that we have even less time in the lead up to October than ever before, and we want to make sure that your films get due consideration by the shortlisting committee, and our finalist judges have a good couple of months to deliberate!!

This year we are joining forces with our sister festival SNOWYfest (running in Thredbo from 13-17 June 2007) and you have the option of entering both Home Brewed and SNOWYfest for a discounted entry fee - even more chances to be selected for screening and a shot at a total prize pool of almost $15,000 in cash. Or if you like, you can just enter Home Brewed, or even just SNOWyfest - it's up to you and as always, we greatly appreciate your support.

After piloting a new project during 2006 with select schools, Home Brewed has started running tailor-made film workshops and screening days for high school students, in and around Sydney. A selection of some of the best G and PG rated films you are likely to see in short film, coupled with speakers from the film and television industry on any topic from careers in film and television, to acting, making your first short film or adapting the written word to the screen.

If you have the students, we can design the course for you! Contact us if you would like further details.

E-MAILING THE HOME BREWED TEAM

As a favour to make sure your e-mail reaches us, please make sure you get our e-mail addresses right when sending us e-mail, and give us an informative subject line that makes it clear what you are asking about. Our SPAM filters cut out around 500-1000 SPAM e-mails every day, and sometimes they are a bit overenthusiastic, so legitimate e-mails from you can sometimes go missing. If we haven't got back to you within 3-5 days of your e-mail (although we will usually be able to reply more promptly), please try again!!
