Everything kicks off this Thursday 6 October at Gala Cinemas Warrawong (feature film WALLY), and Holy Grail Pub in Civic, Canberra (AUSTRALIAN SHORTS). On Friday we will be in Melbourne at Sun Theatre in Yarraville (INTERNATIONAL SHORTS), and then we head back to Gala Cinemas on Saturday (feature film LAST STOP FOR PAUL).

Sunday we remain at Gala Cinemas, screening a 4pm matinee of some of our international short film finalists, with a 7.30pm screening of our special Illawarra Region Finalists that evening.

More details of the films below can be found on our website on the Features and Program pages.

WALLY (77 min)
Directed and Produced by Bob Fink
Gala Cinemas Warrawong, 7.00PM THURSDAY 5 OCTOBER
Cost: $11 / $8.50

A documentary film named after a middle-aged man, who in spite of a mental disability since birth, has made a life on the land he loves surrounded by people who care for him. It is also the story of his sister, Cassie, who when crisis strikes is forced to try to resolve difficult decisions concerning the future of her brother as she tries to manage pressures from other relatives. An inspiring and heart-rending story that leaves us all questioning the decisions that we would make if called on to do so.

LAST STOP FOR PAUL (80 min)
Directed and Produced by Neil Mandt
Gala Cinemas Warrawong, 7.00PM SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER
Cost: $11 / $8.50

Shot in over 20 countries throughout the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Asia with no crew and using local actors and characters discovered along the way (all of whom pull off starring roles), this fantastic film follows the travels of Cliff and Charlie, as they journey around the world scattering the ashes of Cliff's friend Paul, on their way to the full moon party in Thailand. This trip of a lifetime is full of unbelievable adventures in every location and their lives are ultimately changed forever.
